NEW MC / FIRST 180 DAYS
Dispatch services for new trucking companies brokers keep saying no to
A brand new MC hears no a lot. We know which brokers book new authorities, set up your packets to clear their checks, screen out the scams that target new carriers, and plan your first six months so the yeses keep growing.
ALONE VS WITH A DESK
Your first six months, two ways
New authorities can absolutely self-dispatch. Here is how the first months usually differ when a desk is doing the broker work for you.
| Going it alone | With our desk | |
|---|---|---|
| Finding brokers that book new MCs | Trial and error, one rejection at a time | We start with the ones that say yes |
| Carrier packets | Filled out again for every broker | Built once, sent and tracked by us |
| Scams and double brokers | Easy to fall for when you need the load | Every broker verified before you are booked |
| Rate negotiation | Hard to push back when you need any load | We counter against your floor |
| Deadhead and reloads | Planned after you deliver | Planned before you deliver |
| Who signs the rate con | You | Still you, every load |
| Cost | Your time, every day | 7% of gross, then 5% at month 6 |
THE FIRST 180 DAYS
New MC dispatch, month by month
Tap a month. This is what typically opens up as a new authority ages with a clean record. It is a plan, not a promise: broker and program rules vary, and your lanes matter.
Your MC is also in the federal new entrant monitoring period for its first 18 months, which includes a safety audit. Clean paperwork now makes that audit easier.

MONTH 1Packets out, first loads
Your packet goes to the brokers that book new MCs in your lanes. First loads are usually spot freight from those brokers. We get your factoring Notice of Assignment on file with each one if you factor.
MONTH 2Build a clean record
On-time pickups, clean deliveries and fast paperwork. This is what brokers check when they decide whether to book you again and what other brokers see later.
MONTH 3More broker approvals
More brokers say yes as your authority ages and your history builds. We keep sending packets and following up on the ones still pending.
MONTH 4Programs where rules allow
Some power only programs and larger brokers open up as your authority ages. Rules vary by program, so we apply where they allow it and tell you plainly where they don't yet.
MONTH 5Repeat lanes
The brokers who liked your service start offering repeat loads. We lean into the lanes that pay you best and drop the ones that don't.
MONTH 6Rate drops to 5%
Your authority turns 6 months and your fee drops from 7% to 5% (or 4% with two or more trucks) on its own. More brokers open up from here.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Your paperwork, once
Send these in one go and we build your carrier packet. A complete packet is the single biggest thing that speeds up broker approvals for a new MC.
- Active MC and USDOT number
- BOC-3 filed (process agents)
- UCR paid for the current year
- Certificate of insurance: liability and cargo, plus trailer interchange if you run power only
- W-9 with your business name exactly as on your authority
- ELD, if your truck and operation require one
- Notice of Assignment, if you factor
- A DOT drug and alcohol testing program, if your drivers need a CDL. See who needs a consortium, or Join a DOT consortiumWe may earn a referral fee if you sign up through this link. It does not change your price. Affiliate disclosure
Many brokers ask new carriers for more insurance than the federal minimum, so check your limits before you apply. Federal minimum for most for-hire freight is $750,000.

WHAT BROKERS CHECK
Why a new MC gets turned down
Most broker rejections aren't personal. Their carrier-vetting systems score every MC, and a new one starts with little to score. Knowing what they look at tells you what to fix.
Authority age
Many brokers set a minimum, often a few months, sometimes a year. Some have no minimum at all, and those are where we start.
Insurance on file
The certificate has to match what FMCSA shows, with limits that meet the broker's rules. A mismatch is an automatic no.
Contact details
Phone, email and address that match your FMCSA record. Fraud tools flag new MCs whose details have changed recently.
Safety record
Inspections and violations on your record. A clean first few inspections help more than anything we can say.
Paperwork quality
A complete, accurate packet tells a broker you will be easy to work with. A sloppy one goes to the bottom of the pile.
Load history
As loads build up, brokers can see you show up and deliver. That is why month three looks different from month one.
SCAMS THAT TARGET NEW CARRIERS
The best dispatcher for new authority says no for you
New MCs need loads, and scammers know it. Part of our job is turning down the loads that would have cost you a truck payment.
Double brokering
A broker re-brokers a load it doesn't control. You haul it, and nobody pays. We verify who actually holds the load.
Fake broker identities
Scammers copy a real broker's name and MC with a look-alike email. We check contact details against official records.
Too good to be true
A rate far above the market on an easy lane is a warning sign, not a gift.
Pay-to-get-loads offers
Anyone charging you up front to find loads is not dispatching. We charge only on loads you haul.
THE PRICE
7% now. 5% at month 6.
A new MC takes more desk work per load: more brokers to call, more packets, more follow-up. The 7% covers that. The day your authority turns 6 months old, your rate drops on its own, and nothing changes in how we work.

NEW MC QUESTIONS
Straight answers for new carriers
Every load still comes to you as a rate con to sign or decline, from the first week on.
01Can a dispatcher get loads for a brand new MC?
Yes. Plenty of brokers book new authorities, especially for dry van, reefer and box truck freight. Others require a minimum authority age or a safety history. We send your packet to the brokers that will book you now, and add more as your MC ages and your on-time record builds.
02How much is dispatch for a new trucking company?
7% of gross load revenue while your MC is under 6 months old, on loads you haul. No setup fee, no minimums and no contract. At month 6 it drops to 5% for one truck or 4% for two or more.
03When does the 7% rate change?
Automatically, on the first load after your authority turns 6 months old. You don't have to ask or sign anything new. One truck moves to 5%, two or more trucks move to 4%.
04What documents do I need before dispatch starts?
An active MC and USDOT number, BOC-3 filed, UCR paid for the year, a certificate of insurance, a W-9, an ELD if your truck needs one, and a Notice of Assignment if you factor. CDL carriers also need a DOT drug and alcohol testing program in place.
05What insurance do brokers ask new carriers for?
Federal rules require at least $750,000 in liability for most for-hire freight. Many brokers ask for more, commonly $1,000,000 in auto liability plus a cargo policy, and some want higher cargo limits for valuable freight. Power only also needs trailer interchange coverage. We check each broker's requirement against your certificate.
06Can a new MC run power only?
Sometimes. Some power only programs accept new authorities and others set a minimum authority age or inspection history. We apply to the programs that will take you now and add others as your MC ages. Program rules vary, so we tell you honestly what is open in your area.
07Should I start with spot loads or look for a dedicated lane?
Spot loads first, almost always. Dedicated lanes go to carriers with a track record on that shipper or broker, which takes a few months to build. We use your early spot loads to show a couple of brokers what you can do in the lanes you want, then push for repeat freight from them.
08Do you help me avoid scams as a new carrier?
Yes. New carriers are a favorite target for double brokering and fake broker identities. We check every broker's authority and credit, confirm contact details against official records, and won't book you with anyone we can't verify. If something about a load looks wrong, we walk away.
