ABOUT HAULTERMINAL

A dispatch desk that works for the truck

HaulTerminal is a truck dispatch service. We built the desk around one idea: a dispatcher works for the carrier, not for the broker and not for a quota. We find and negotiate loads, handle the calls and the paperwork, and the decision on every load stays with you.

We dispatch 11 kinds of equipment, from 26 ft box trucks to car haulers, and we write the deepest guides on this site about power only, dry van and intermodal, because those are the lanes where planning pays off most.

THE DESK

How the desk actually works

Every carrier starts with a call. We learn your equipment, home base, lanes, the rate you need and the days you want home. That becomes the plan we book against, and you can change it any time.

From there the desk searches boards and broker contacts, checks each broker, and negotiates. When a load fits, the broker sends the rate confirmation straight to you. You read it, sign it or say no. We never sign for you. After you sign, the desk takes the check calls, appointment changes and detention claims, and keeps the paperwork together for invoicing or your factor.

Desk hours are confirmed with you on the first call. The whole process, step by step, is on how dispatch works.

WHAT WE WILL NOT DO

The rules we hold ourselves to

Most complaints about dispatchers come down to a few habits: loads booked without asking, fees that grow after signing, contracts that are hard to leave. We wrote our rules down so you can hold us to them, and so you can compare any dispatcher you talk to against the same list.

  • We don't force a load on you. Every rate con is yours to sign or turn down.
  • We don't sign a rate con in your name.
  • We don't hide fees. You pay a percentage of gross on loads you haul, nothing else.
  • We don't lock you into a contract. Month to month, cancel with notice.
  • We don't broker your freight. We're a dispatch service working under your authority, never the broker on your load.
  • We don't take a cut from the broker. Our only pay is the fee you see.
  • We don't dispatch cargo vans or anything under a 26 ft box truck.
